My Mini Whovian
Recently, my boyfriend and I were talking about Isaac Asimov’s 3 Laws of Robotics, one of which being that robots aren’t allowed to hurt humans. Just then, my 7 year old daughter ran into the room, furious. She says “Mom. The Daleks are robots and they hurt people all the time!” I know, technically they are cyborgs, but it was adorable anyway. Plus, we got to explain to her the difference between robots and cyborgs!

Mom makes epic Doctor Who costume for son
Everybody wants to be the Doctor, but unfortunately Matt Smith’s trademark tweed jacket doesn’t come in everyone’s size. Fortunately for this kid, he’s got a crafty mom who found a way to fashion an Eleventh Doctor jacket that fits him perfectly, and she even fashioned his wheelchair into a sweet TARDIS.

Yesterday, I downloaded a Dalek “Exterminate” ringtone for my phone. Well, today I was at a store, looking for a gift for my brother, and I was texting my mom trying to figure out what he wanted. Every time she texted me back, I would here “EXTERMINATE”. Well, one time a girl about 6 years old turned the corner and was in the same aisle as me. I got a text, and she heard the exterminate, started looking around, slightly worried. I got another one, and she started breathing really heavily. I noticed her reaction, and she obviously didn’t like the noise, so I was about to turn the ringer off, but before I had the chance, I got another text message. This time she burst out crying, yelling “THE DALEKS ARE COMING FOR US!! Mommy!” and she ran away for her mom. I couldn’t find her to explain and apologize, so now I feel like a total and utter douche… But at the same time I am happy I kinda met a tiny Whovian….
